Lady Macduff is critical of her husband's actions (in 4.2) when he goes to Malcolm, even though his actions are patriotic, because he endangers her and their children. When Ross warns her of approaching danger from Macbeth, she cannot escape fast enough. She is an interesting foil to Lady Macbeth.
