Grumio (Groom-ee-oh) is a servant or groom to Petruchio (as opposed to Grey-me-oh = Gremio the old suitor of Bianca). In 1.2, Grumio and Petruchio fight about the meaning of "knock me here" and are saved from a physical fight by the entrance of Hortensio. Grumio tells about Petruchio's behavior on the way home from the wedding in 4.1 and teases Kate with food in 4.3.
